He Wants No Less

 He wants no less from us than mercy
 Mercy to each soul that comes along
 Don’t justify your harsh words or your temper
 Give mercy to each one and make them strong
  
 He wants no less from you than grace
 Grace that reaches everyone you meet
 Don’t justify your gossip and backbiting
 Just speak to everyone with words of peace
  
 He wants no less from you than forgiveness
 Forgiveness that will pardon every hurt
 Don’t justify your grudges and complaining
 Forgive each one who troubles your hard heart
  
 He wants no less from you than the truth
 Truth that speaks to everything in life
 Don’t justify your white lies and your fables
 Just speak with words of truth and you’ll survive
  
 He wants no less from you than great love
 Love that surpasses all who see
 Don’t justify your anger and repulsion
 Let love guide every word that you will speak
  
 These things and more we should do each day
 For Jesus came to show us the way
 These are the things He taught us to do
 Not go against them every day
  
 So guard your heart and close your mouth
 Let goodness flow from you
 Let your light shine for all to see
 In all you say and do.

He Has A Plan

 When it seems the world is crashing down around you
 The waves and winds are everywhere you turn
 The struggle gets intense
 For the battle is immense
 Remember through it all God has a plan
  
 When you’ve woken up and the day appears too dreadful
 The things you’ve heard and seen just bring you down
 Lift up your head
 There is nothing ahead
 That my God cannot work into His plan

 His plan is good, so good
 His plan is wise, so wise
 His plan will see you through the storm that you may face
 Just trust in Him
 Just give Him praise
 For we know all things work for good to those who wait
 He has a plan
  
 Now you lift your eyes to see the light before you
 You realize that Jesus holds your hand
 Now you can walk on through
 His promises are true
 He uses all your trials to work His plan for you

Thunderstorms

 I love to sit and hear the sound of summer
 The thunder rolling through the nighttime sky
 I look and see the lightning flash in glory
 Lighting up the darkness of the night
  
 I love to wonder how our great creator
 Came up with the idea of thunderstorms
 Cold and hot air clashing in the heavens
 Producing clouds and winds that swirl and swarm
  
 I wonder how the wind can change direction
 Like a line drawn in the sky the gusts collide
 South winds change to north along a boundary
 As if a wall was set up in the sky
  
 Then I think how awesome is our blessed Savior
 Who came down from His lofty throne above.
 After giving birth to thunderstorms and lightning
 He died upon a cross to show His love
  
 Oh, what grace and mercy He has shown us
 Oh, what suffering He endured for us
 Like a lighting bolt that struck a line in history
 Is the picture of our Savior on the cross
  
 One solitary moment in the past
 Stands out across the length and breadth of time
 He died to show His love for His creation
 He rose again to give us all eternal life
  
 So the next time you hear thunder in the distance
 And see the flash of lightning in the sky
 Look up an thank the God of all creation
 For the Son he gave to be your sacrifice

The Church Will Never Fail

 It stands there tall and stately.  A steeple up on high
 It stands there like a beacon that tries to show the light.
 But in many cases the light does shine no more
 They’ve softened up their preaching and opened up their doors
 .
 No more is Jesus offered as the Savior of the world
 Instead, a social gospel has replaced the given word
 Those who live a sinful lifestyle are told that they can stay
 They don’t have to leave their sin and live the righteous way
  
 It’s a sad testimony that rings around the world
 It’s a sad testimony of our Savior and our Lord
 But one thing that I know, and one thing that is sure
 The church will never fall to the darkness of this world
  
 As dead bones were restored to life before Ezekiel’s eyes
 So, the church will have revival and once again will rise
 We will see the gospel once again touching people’s lives
 As they look up to the cross and see His sacrifice
  
 I’m excited for the future, for what God has in store
 We must all stay vigilant and trust our risen Lord
 He will soon return to take His people home
 Let’s make sure that His church is ready and restored.
  
 Preach the word to all who come across your path
 Be ready to give a reason for the faith that you now have
 Be instant in season and full of praise each day
 This is how you’ll spread the word to those who need His grace
